Privacy

Pencircles is a handwriting app. Notes, strokes, search index tokens, and lecture recordings are stored in the app’s Application Support folder on this device.

iCloud Private Database sync runs only if you have Circle+ or Founders and you start a push or pull. Free stays on this device. We do not operate a custom HTTP backend.

We do not sell notes. We do not use your notes, ink, or audio to train foundation models. We do not embed advertising or attribution SDKs.

Microphone access is used only after you agree. You may withdraw recording consent in Settings. Old files remain playable on this device.

Classroom and meeting recording law is your responsibility. You may export the library as a .pencircle package and delete all local data from Settings.
